The IAHE Level 4 Diploma in Guidance & Counselling programme begins by introducing students to the nature of psychology and relates it to the theories and concepts of counseling. Students move on to explore themselves in order to promote personal growth and self-awareness thus acquiring the key attributes of a competent counsellor. Students will then gain knowledge to the different approaches of counselling and have the skills to implement and apply them to the appropriate situations.

These qualifications are specifically intended for learners who are generally 18 years old or older.
Learners are expected to have at least one of the following qualifications:
- Possession of a Level 3 Diploma or a certificate of equal value that is directly applicable to the subject matter.
- Completion of GCE Advanced level in two subjects or an equivalent qualification is required.
- This programme is intended for mature learners who are over the age of 21 and have appropriate management experience. Before registering for the training, learners should confirm with the delivery centre whether their experience meets the requirements.
The course has a duration of 120 credits and spans over a period of 12 months, equivalent to 1 year. Additionally, you have the opportunity to expedite the course duration. To obtain additional information, please contact our admissions department.
IAHE qualifications at RQF Level 4 represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and competences that are assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to Year 1 of a three-year UK Bachelor’s degree programme.
All components of this qualification are assessed internally by the centre and externally certified by IAHE. The qualifications are assessed using criterion-referenced methods, which evaluate the attainment of all the required learning outcomes. In order to obtain a ‘pass’ grade for a unit, learners must present evidence that shows they have successfully achieved all the learning objectives and have met the requirements outlined by the assessment criteria. The Assessor is responsible for determining whether the learners have met the assessment criteria. The Assessor is required to present a clear and documented record of the process used to determine the learners’ overall achievement.
Successful completion of the IAHE Level 4 Diploma qualification provides learners the opportunity for a wide range of academic progressions including progression to relevant IAHE Level 5 Diplomas. Learners are also eligible to gain direct entry into Year 2 of a three-year UK Bachelor’s degree programme.

IAHE Level 7 PGC in Clinical Psychology
The Postgraduate in Clinical Psychology – Level 7 course builds upon the latest psychotherapy process and outcome research findings and uses an integrated approach to training students in assessment and treatment of mental health problems and disorders. This approach assists students in developing a flexible and client-focused approach to practice, consistent with contemporary standards for evidence-based practice in clinical psychology. For entry onto the IAHE Level 7 PGC in Clinical Psychology, learners must:
- Possess an honours degree in related subject or UK level 6 diploma or an equivalent overseas qualification;
- Be 21 years or older at the beginning of the course; or
- Be mature learners with relevant management experience (learners must check with the delivery centre regarding this experience prior to registering for the programme)
